Trading Standards Central.
A site operated by the Institute of Trading Standards Administration. Includes a large range of useful business advice leaflets plus a list of legislation enforced by Trading Standards Officers. Also includes details of recent safety recall notices.
Advertising Standards Authority.
Includes the full text of the British Codes of Advertising Practice. All of the adjudication made by the Authority following survivorship life insurance complaints about advertising are published on the site. Gives a good indication as to what the Authority is likely to uphold as misleading advertising.
Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre.
This allows the scripts of advertisements to be submitted for approval on line. It also includes the text of the ITC code.
Amazon
We use Amazon or Books On Line (BOL) for reference and specialist books including statutes and statutory instruments, they generally prove to be the best for price and service.
Whiplash Solicitor
Making a whiplash compensation claim.

Food Standards Agency
This site is aimed at consumers but includes information useful to business such as current consultations on proposed legislation, press releases and enforcement policies.
Her Majesty’s Stationery Office.
All public Acts of parliament passed since 1996 are published in full on the site, as are all Statutory Instruments since 1997.
The Patent Office.
Contains useful information and guidance on patents, trade marks, copyright and designs, including how to register them.
Companies House.
Guidance booklets and forms can be ordered from the site. E-mail enquiries can be sent, and there is a full list of services and products available.
The Department of Trade and Industry.
This has details of business support including regulatory guidance.
Health and Safety Executive.
This includes the full text of a large number of guidance leaflets. It also includes recent press releases and case reports.
Data Protection.
Includes detail of the eight principles of data protection, guidance and online notification.
Office of Fair Trading.
Aimed at consumers, but is therefore useful as it shows the current advice and policies on consumer issues. Includes decisions and case reports in competition law.
